i really dont know how to react.
i really dont know what to say.
a part of me tells me to be happy and contented with the
GOLD that we got.
but the other part of me feels guilty and sad.
i really dont know what to feel.
thinking back 2 years ago, when they announced that we got a gold, no one cheered. it was utter silence, which later including sniffs, which later turned into tears, and cries of sadness.
that night, we were the only band which got a gold but walked away in tear and sadness.
hoho the irony.yet today, when they announced that we again got a gold, we cheered our hearts our hearts out and sabrina and vera even jumped out of their seats in joy.
and the ironic thing was that we heard nan chiau (who was right before us) play
7th night for their choice piece.

and today was the first time i played jericho's victory part so emotionally, I REALLY WANTED TO CRY ON STAGE.
but i couldnt. i dunno why.
and IM REALLY REALLY TOUCHED when i see aiwen, yumin, yixi, eugenia, clara, sylvia, margret, cheryl, chungyan, jackyln, guakhee, elissa, yasi, yanzhen, yingrui and MANY MANY MANY MORE SENIORS ponned school

and when they announced the results, we were all very nervous and holding each other's hands cause all the bands before us got bronze bronze bronze silver silver.
and HC got a silver so we thought we might get a silver too. cause they were quite good!
but no! we got a gold! and sorry jasmine for squeezing your hand too tightly!
and we're the only gold of the day! o.O quite surprising but ya! (:

anyway, han sheng showed me a blog and i found out that some people from others bands which performed today were quite dissappointed. but DONT BE OKAY! cause we really really thought you guys were good! (: and though you guys got a silver, you are a gold band in our hearts ok? (:
and to those bands who havent been for the judging yet e.g. RI, SJI...: JIAYOU JIAYOU JIAYOU! please you best and DONT LEAVE THE STAGE THINKING THAT YOU COULD HAVE DONE BETTER OK! (:
and oh man i think we were quite composed today. i mean we came back to school like nothing happened. and we werent cheering until we went back up to the bandroom lah. HAHA. and MS CHONG CRIED IN THE BANDROOM! OMG! yay we made her cry! (:
after 5 months of sweat, tears, frustration and hard work, it has certainly all paid off today. (: and we certainly are a
SOLID GOLD BAND. (:

we were all touched by our own music, we melted the audience's hearts,we made our seniors cry, we played for ourselves,we made music. (:and when we all graduate from nanyang, i think what yanzhen said is true. we wouldnt look back at our nanyang life and think about the how much fun we had in school.

There was only one band that I heard today, and knew for certain it is a gold band. Congrats to NYGH! You all did very well. Articulation and intonation was great! Perhaps towards the end of Jericho, everyone is tiring out, so the tuning starts to waver, but it was a great performance by the girls. Personally, I think you all chose pieces that suits your band well. I mean, who can scream better than an all-girls band for Jericho? Plus the screams for the results were deafening. LOL.
